Mike Tomlin renunció el 13 de enero de 2026. 19 temporadas. Cero temporadas con récord perdedor. El tercer head coach de los Steelers en 57 años.
El reemplazo: Mike McCarthy, mismo que ganó un Super Bowl con Aaron Rodgers en Green Bay (precisamente ante Steelers) y que dirigió a los Cowboys de 2020 a 2024.
Este movimiento no fue accidental.
McCarthy llegó específicamente porque los Steelers esperan convencer a Aaron Rodgers de volver, el mismo QB que dirigió durante 13 temporadas en Green Bay.
Una franquicia que llevaba 19 años con la misma voz al mando apostó todo a la relación entre un coach de 62 años y un quarterback de 42.

We only think about #Noll, #Cower & #Tomlin, but if you only count the ones who repeated once the next #Steelers head coach will be number 17. I was really young, but I do remember a couple in the 60s, it was bad. I would love an OC, but history says defense.
I don't think the team is in horrible shape, but can we get a real QB, preferably a young one. #HereWeGo
