Buenos días 🌞 aún en Barcelona, y descubriendo proyectos xulísimos tol rato. Muy muy interesante la publicación de #Hamacaonline con The Institute for Technology in the Public Interest #TITiPI "Informe a una plataforma", para revisar los intereses públicos en el diseño de plataformas web como la de hamaca. Participación ciudadana en entornos web! Disponible aquí (EN/ES/CAT): https://www.hamacaonline.net/projects/informe-a-una-plataforma/

"In the frame of the artistic research *Clearing up the mist*, supported by FrART, Tangible Cloud is organizing two collective work sessions in Brussels. The first one will take place from May 18 to 21, 2022 and the second from June 21 to 24, 2022.

These worksessions will propose an exploratory and interdisciplinary approach, in the form of conferences and practical workshops. From a close reading of the Cloud, we will tinker together vocabularies, speculative devices and prototypes, aiming to propose counter-narratives to Cloud Computing.

Application are open until Sunday, April 30, 2022."

How could a digital practice become more ethical? And what does it mean to say “Digitally Ethical”? NEoN invited The Institute for Technology in the Public Interest (TITiPi) to "audit" their daily computational operations, with a view to imagine other environmental and socially "just" digital practices, as part of a rethinking of their internal policies and values.

Small c vs. big C: How Computational Infrastructures Capture Technical and Social Imaginary for Public Life

In recent years, the communications, sociality and operations of public institutions have become increasingly dependent on Computational Infrastructures provided by Big Tech. From decentralized contact tracing apps for public health to free online school classrooms for education: Computational Infrastructures have rapidly expanded their remit. This conversation will center on how institutions and the lives they are tasked with supporting, are impacted by Computational Infrastructures.

We decided to postpone the event @SPUI25 on Friday. If only we knew until when 😞

Update:

#titipi, the Reading Room and Page Not Found are committed to provide a safe environment for all participants, while questioning the control regime that the QR code check implies. This commitment brought us to a new format: the session will be a procession, in which our guests Femke and Seda guide the participants between the rooms of Page Not Found and the street outside. We will be physically circulating, circulating ideas and text, as well as hopefully airing out our aerosols and data traces. This way, our event is a “transfer” or "circulation activity" (doorstroom activiteit) for which Corona entry tickets are not required.

At the beginning of the session, we will invite the participants to define collectively how to feel safe together (using distancing, masks, etc). Please stay home if you feel unwell.
