After learning about three-cueing, I now better understand why so many in the US like LLM tools to summarize texts - it's not laziness, it's because they were never able to read proficiently and long texts are simply too daunting to read. And would not realize if the summary was way off as they won't/can't read the original.

Also explains why obvious written propaganda works as it's way simpler than accurate rebuttals.
