Back in November we were staying at our son's, dog-sitting, while they were on #holiday. I took a #guitar with me, my #Fender #Sonoran #Thinline. It's not a guitar with a great reputation and was deleted from their catalogue within a couple of years. Perhaps one of the reasons for that were the #cheap #Chinese tuners.

I was placing the guitar in its case and allowed the neck to fall the final six inches. Unfortunately, it was slightly out of line and a tuner hit the side of the case. The plastic button did not survive.

I was amazed to find there's no such thing as a standard #Stratocaster neck. Tuners are sold in sets of six and I found sets that had the separation between first and sixth string of 117mm 119mm and 120mm and, I dare say, there were others available.

My guitar turned out to need a 119mm set. I opted for a metal replacement button. I only learned afterwards that I hadn't fitted the string in the way intended with a slot headed tuner.

Tony Paul Occasional Tables for Thinline –1960s. I bought them at a flea a few months ago and finally got around to cleaning them, touching up the paint and reassembling. Adjustable height…one salmon, one cream and one robin’s egg blue. Cool little tables, but I wouldn’t trust them with too many of my favorite cocktails at one time, especially on a rug! They are very similar to the Paul McCobb Cigarette Table.

My No.1. Squier Classic Vibe thinline in Sherwood green. Plays and sounds better than my 20 year old Japanese Tele and MiM Strat. I wish this quality of affordable guitar had been around when I started out. #telecaster #guitar #fender #thinline #guitars
Another group that was only together for a few years, then disbanded - Honeyhoney (2006-2017). This song is from their 2nd album “Billy Jack”
One of my favorite songs … the lyrics! 😉😎🎶 #ILikeToWatch #ThinLine https://mastodon.social/@MatthewTitus88/112148384716027442
