Asked these people to spread the word about our next #thedefiningten event, instead they’ve decided to tell the artist about the event instead (if they see him) Tch, can’t get the staff etc…

Anyway, announcement and on sale THIS FRIDAY for our Thursday 26th January event at the @cellarartsclub in #worthing

These guys won’t have to wait long before we saddle up and announce our next #thedefiningten guest - hopefully announcing and on sale THIS Friday (for Thursday 26th January at the Cellar Arts Club in #worthing)

Our #2022 year in review…and what a year! When I started #thedefiningten night I gave myself a personal challenge of doing 6 events in the format to give it chance to bed down and see how people responded to it. I’m so pleased to see the response from the audience and especially the artists who have enjoyed themselves so much. We’ve heard some amazing stories, listened to some fabulous songs we knew and didn’t know, watched some amazing stripped back performances and danced to some glorious DJ sets.

I’ve built up a lovely core audience of regulars who seem to come to it regardless of the artist because they enjoy the night so much which was always something I had hoped would happen.

We’ve also planted 165 trees as a result of the events which I know is small fry in the scheme of things but which means a lot to me.

Thanks to the amazing artists for coming to #worthing and sharing everything with us.

Thanks to all at the Cellar Arts Club for giving me a chance to do the night and then embracing what I’m doing.

Thanks to those regulars (you know who you are 😉)

Thanks to my friends Jim and Sara for spinning the songs and having my back on the night.

Thanks to the lovely Ed Kilroy at Coastal Events for all his priceless advice and encouragement as I got the night off of the ground.

And thanks to my lovely wife Minda and my family for supporting me with my next hair brained plan 🙂

(Although sadly the Tom Hingley event didn’t happen, it’s all been part of my learning curve this year…so included as a what could have been as much as a what I learnt from it…)

And maybe I make this an issue by mentioning it (and before someone highlights this and says “THIS IS WHATS WRONG WITH THE MUSIC INDUSTRY”) I’m fully aware this line up is 100% testosterone which was never my intention, I had always hoped it would be an even split between male and female guests, but the sad reality is that due to various reasons, be they logistics, unavailable, unwilling, unresponsive to requests I haven’t managed to bring a female guest down yet. Hoping 2023 changes that.

Our next #thedefiningten event is on Thursday 26th January and hopefully announcing end of next week - “cryptic” clue roll out to start soon!

Mockets all ready for tomorrow’s #thedefiningten with St Etienne’s Pete Wiggs at the Cellar Arts Club in #worthing.
