Not sure which longhair first had the bright idea to divert Dave Dudley's trucker-anthem "Six Days on the Road" into the hippie pantheon . . . was is #TajMahaj? Perhaps #TheFlyingBurritoBrothers? Whoever it was, thank em for doing so. It remains a great, celebratory working-class song - here's hoping someone will one day retool the lyrics for our Uber-dependent generation. #CountryJoeMcDonald waxed a bumpin' version too, but #TheYoungbloods take - what with all that dancing Marin County gtr work - gets my vote for the best.

Hey, did #TheGratefulDead ever cover this one? Could imagine #BobWeir singing the hell out of this.

"Wild Horses" is a song by the English rock band #theRollingStones. It was first released in 1970 by #theFlyingBurritoBrothers, as the Rolling Stones did not consider their demo of the song to be worth recording fully. It was subsequently recorded by the Rolling Stones for their 1971 album #StickyFingers when they felt it was worth reconsideration. It was also released on 12 June 1971 as a single, with "#Sway" as its #Bside.
