One of the most criminally underrated slasher flicks to come out of the 80s boom. It's weird to think that Cropsy never became at least a mild icon and got a few sequels given how good this movie is. What sets it apart from so many other slashers of its day is that so many of the counsellors, or shear fodder for Cropsy, is that while many of them fit the stereotype caricatures, they are brought to life in a way that makes them truly feel like real people, something that is sorely lacking in so many slasher flicks.
