ThomasThe German cell broadcast alert system which got tested today only seems to work on modern phones. Android 5.0.1 (registered to a LTE network) is too old as well as the two phones to the right (registered to GSM).
The user experience of that text desert is very much improveable. "Notification by the President" however looks quite funny.

Germany will conduct a comprehensive test of emergency alert systems throughout the country on 'Nationwide Alert Day,' Sept. 14, 2023. Matt WilcoxAs Anne says here: if you or someone you know has a hidden phone, particularly people in domestic violence situations, and youβre in the UK - *make sure to turn off the new government warning alerts* which will be tested soon. They will give away the phones location.
