i think it's really insidious how ubiquitous fake notification bubbles are on corporate websites. these things are everywhere and they're very explicitly designed to hijack existing UI standards to trick you into clicking on them, in order to "promote engagement" or whatever. isn't this plainly unethical? doesn't anyone care anymore? #userhostile #techbullshit

searched for how to do frame-by-frame in VLC for android. included "for android" in the search, to be clear. one of the top results is a techspamblog with "android" literally in the name, telling me how to do frame-by-frame in windows. #techbullshit

is anyone even bothering to report that youtube just broke basic functionality of its own website? i can't find anything even reporting on this. i guess everyone's just used to this shit by now. it's 2025, which means periodically our daily routines will be disrupted and made worse with no warning, for no reason, with no appeal, at the whims of investors whose faces we will never see and whose names we will never know #techbullshit
