@creating #tdc5094 #ds106 Christmas eve was always a mad whirl of cleaning and food prep, getting out the best china and making sure it was sparkling clean. Now I have mum and dad's best china in containers out in the garage. We only have 5 for lunch tomorrow, so I will wait till then to bring it in. (https://flic.kr/p/2rNrjzR)

Our Christmas Eve tradition is that all of my children come home (check!) and then my father drives up, and then we go to Christmas Eve service at our church (where my wife in the choir) and the service ends with everyone in a large circle around the pews, holding a lit candle, as we sing Silent Night together with only candlelight flickering.
