When I was a young child, both my grandpa and my dad would place me on top of the refrigerator, grab my legs, and slowly pull me toward the edge. This was a common occurrence at family gatherings. I'd be screaming bloody murder, and they'd be laughing their heads off.

It's a funny thing, because I also remember asking them to do it again...

Thankfully, I never did that to my kids.

I am not sure how those experiences shaped me, but I am sure they did.

@tdc #tdc4646 #dailycreate #ds106 Scary childhood terrors still out there. The Thing at the Foot of the Bed still comes around. And also those demands for return of the golden arm. Stay under the covers.

The Forgetting ...

At what point
do we remember
the forgetting?

The letting of
memories, sliding
through doors?

I am that child,
again, worried
at what I left
behind
