Sunscreen on the brown parts, UV on the white parts, and courtesy of the tanning salon my color is now about even across my whole body. I'll deepen my tan further, but I'm starting to be satisfied with my color. I'm now "tan"! Next steps: go blonde and be fun.

OMG I looked it up and I could be totally tanned in 4-6 weeks after I get to California...and in 4-8 weeks I could be totally platinum blonde with luscious extensions. Sooo starting this month I could be a brand new me by October!
