I'm very new to Mastodon so here's a short #introduction.

I've been a #hamradio operator since 1988. I have my Extra Class ticket. I currently enjoy #qrp operating and #homebrew projects. Most of my building has been kits but I've come to enjoy scratch building. Not as pretty but a lot of fun.

My latest project has just been powered up, a #T41-EP. Lots to do still but it first picked up a signal today. Looking forward to learning a lot from the community here.

While working on assembling my radio kit, I was reminded of something I use that is retroactively obvious. A magnifier headlamp. Pictured. Like 20 bucks on Amazon, five different sets of lenses of various powers, LED light, seems to be pretty well constructed. The same headlamp seems to be sold under several different brands. If you're bifocals have more focal lengths than your radio has bands you need these. I waited far too long. Once you have them all kinds of uses. #t41 #kitbuilding #oldeyes
For those of you following along on the construction of my t41 SDR radio kit. I completed the power module. A very small step, but a significant one. And there's a substitute part that has several versions of the instructions of what to do with it the contradict each other. #t41 #sdr #hamradio #kitbuilding

Ok, starting on my new t41 sdr radio kit from ac8gy 4sqrp club. Definitely the largest kit I've ever attempted. We'll see how this goes. Wish me luck. If you are building one also, reach out and we can swap notes should it become necessary.

N'empêche quand on voit les fumiers de la sacem se glorifier de l'opération de police ayant conduit à l'arrestation des admins de #t41, on se dit qu'on serait particulièrement con de filer le moindre euros pour une marchandise culturelle
