Paper Alert Dominique Narain-Ford; quantified a range of #ContaminantsOfEmergingConcern in a full-scale cropland with direct reuse of #sewage effluent in a sub-surface #irrigation system. We found high removal efficiencies that benefit the #surfacewaters. Care must be taken for #CECs that are (moderately) #hydrophobic as these significantly accumulate around infiltration pipes and show no significant removal in the rhizosphere. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0043135422012489
