Here are the stats for anyone interested. Many of the maps in the green-yellow campaign of #superfamicomwars really reward aggressive play, but it is so easy to get encircled on Moji Island there's no other real option. Just get as far as you can before making contact, then pump out tanks until the enemy quits.

Nearly forgot to do my victory post!

Green's western front completely collapsed after turn 19, and then the only obstacle was to capture enough of green's undefended properties that we would win. They poured all their resources into defending their eastern front, where I kept pushing on to keep their attention while my infantry got into position out west. At the end of the final turn, all they had left were a busted artillery and a supply truck.

Yeah this is basically over. I just need to get my infantry moved into position in the west and we'll have this map by domination, though it wouldn't take much more for a victory by rout.

Turn 16, and I think this is about to turn into a mop-up operation. The green army are completely fumbling the defense of their eastern chokepoint, and we're about to plow through to their base with tanks, infantry and artillery. In the west, they are losing ground as more and more of our armor arrives.

We have defeated the green proto tank and are now advancing on the eastern front! I do not think the enemy will be able to fight effectively across two active fronts, so I predict we will break their back soon.

Meanwhile on the western front, the green heavy tank took several turns to get to where the fighting is, and decided for no apparent reason to park right in range of my rocket.

Turn 10 has given us some interesting scenarios. We have encircled the enemy proto tank and our rocket is in range, meanwhile out west we have encountered the main body of the green army.

Our proto tank is putting in work already, wrecking an enemy medium tank with minimal effort. The green army does not have a good answer on the western front, so they have deployed a heavy tank. In a straight fight, our proto tank will have a slight edge but is likely to take heavy damage itself in the exchange. Hopefully by the time the heavy tank reaches us, our proto tank will have some support.

Back to #superfamicomwars, back to Moji Island. First blood has been drawn and both sides aee now scrabbling to capture the last few uncontested properties. We have our proto tank on the western front, and green has theirs in the eastern woodlands. The plan is to use ours to stall the enemy advance while we build out our forces, and to encircle theirs in the woods and destroy it with rocket fire.

It's turn 6 and the action is about to start. In the northeast, the green army has secured their proto tank and is already headed our way. We have set up a line of infantry just inside the forest to slow them down while I get our shiny new rocket in position.

In the southwest, we're working on our own proto tank, but green's main force is rolling in hot. The APC gets into position as a sacrifice so our infantry can finish the capture op.

It's so tempting to just send these dudes north and attempt to stop green from capturing that lab. While I could definitely slow them down, I likely can't stop them and if we did there's a near 0% chance we could take it ourselves. If we somehow did, attaining victory from there would be trivial, but if we tried and failed, our economic position would be... bleak.
