Cowgirl golf falls short in first-ever Big 12 Championship playoff

The Oklahoma State women’s golf team finished on the wrong side of history Thursday, falling to eventual team champion Arizona in the first-ever Big 12 Women's Golf Championship to be decided in a sudden-death playoff.With OSU, Arizona and Arizona State all at 19-over par through 54 holes, golfers from each of the three schools retook the course for a unique tiebreaker that saw five the Cowgirls simultaneously facing their Wildcat and Sun Devil counterparts on five different holes around the course.
