quoted from the facecrack page...
After 12 years, it’s time to say goodbye to Studio Lam.
Born in 2014 with a simple intention — to create a home for music that lives outside the mainstream — Studio Lam grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. A small bar, a listening room, a stage… that somehow became a meeting point for ideas, experiments, friendships, late nights, first shows, and lifelong memories.
Over the years, Lam became an institution for new artists — a place where emerging voices could take risks, find their sound, and be heard. At the same time, we were deeply honoured to host artists we admired from around the world: Hailu Mergia, Sister Nancy, Emanative, Rabih Beaini & Marylou (Morphine Records), GA-PI, David Kats, Nick Manasseh, Photay, Kirk Degiorgio, DJ Krush, DJ Deep, DJ Muro, Sofrito crew, Soundway Records, Prince Fatty, Tippa Irie, Shuya Okino (Kyoto Jazz Massive), Johnny Osbourne, Andrew Ashong, Ralph Thomas, Aardvarck (Rush Hour) — and so many more who trusted this little room with their sound.
Studio Lam was never about trends or hype. It was about listening, curiosity, community, and believing that music can still surprise us.
Thank you to every artist, DJ, staff member, collaborator, neighbour, and every single person who walked through our doors, danced, listened. You shaped this space as much as we did.
The lights may be going off, but the frequencies live on — in the people, the memories, and everything that comes next.
Stay tuned for our final two-month lineup, merch releases, and seviniors by Studio Lam.
With love, gratitude, and deep respect.
@MaftSai & @StudioLamBangkok team 🙏
