Utterly exhausted. House is spotless for the house sitter, camper is packed, alarm set for 6.30am for last minute things... before I set off for my landcare group's meeting with an ecologist, onsite, for 9am. Hoping to be finished by 11.30, when husband will collect me from the Mawson Ponds and we'll be off at last. #oodnadatta #strzelecki

Camper almost packed and ready for departure on saturday. Made a lemon and olive oil cake for the road, with leftover lemons from a friend. Booked our flight over Lake Eyre (currently nearly full of water). Dinner out tonight with daughter's in-laws who are in town briefly.
Tomorrow is house- cleaning day so the cat and his sitter can begin their month together in a civilised state. Not long now. #Oodnadatta #Strzelecki

Planning our meals for a fortnight in the outback. I have chilli con carne and some mung with veg in the freezer. Fish fingers in there too, natch. Laksa should be easy: we have paste and fried tofu in fridge (just add coc milk, noodles and veg). Will stock up on fruit and veg, cheese, bread, and meaty things for the BBQ, at ADL's Central Market. Not long now... #Oodnadatta #Strzelecki
