Galway West needs Independent TDs who will not vote confidence in Governments or Ministers that have failed our city and county.
If elected in the upcoming by-election, I will not support the current Government. I will not follow the example of so-called independent TDs or parties who prop up the system.
I know what I stand for and who I represent, without the shadow of a party whip looming over me.

Taken in total, my proposal would eliminate all private vehicle traffic across the city centre bridges, with the exception of Bridge St, which would provide in/out access to the school and Quays car park. All cross-city car traffic would be diverted to either the inner or outer bypasses, and enable the lower peninsula to be reclaimed from the car. This would be a first for Ireland, and would be highly controversial. But it is what must be done.

So the #Galway bypass has been approved. The real question is what will it be used for.
If it's just used to increase traffic capacity across the city, it will fail. If it is used to free up road space within the city *to do better things*, it will succeed.
