In #StrandedAlienDawn , there's a mechanic ("expeditions") where you build a hot air balloon to explore areas outside of your region. This lets you get power ups, resources, advance the story, etc.
This balloon is powered by "liquid fuel" derived from plant matter or manure.
It's winter now, and my plant matter is too valuable as food to use it for exploration.
So I'm now literally waiting on some space bull shit to power my hot air balloon 😂

Another fun dimension to #StrandedAlienDawn: animal taming.
On my planet, I've discovered exactly two tameable animals: a giant praying mantis and a space cow.
I can't figure out how to tame the mantis
So I tamed the space cow.
Wasn't sure the point at first. You can't milk it. Not sure if you can breed it.
But by God the refugees love petting this thing

Playing a lot of Stranded: Alien Dawn - and while it's a colony sim like Rimworld or Oxygen Not Included, the upgrades are hilariously specific.
My favorite so far? It's not "plant armor" - it's "veggie armor". 😂
