#Oxford #OX3 looks like #StormLilian ripped a hole in my roof - did anybody else have #stormdamage last Friday (23.8.)? On the plus side, I managed to fit the pieces together, was a nice jigsaw. Hoping it will hold until I get it repaired professionally.

Didn't really have #festival chaos as a #ClimateChange #Bingo option..but extreme weather from #wind and #rain due to #StormLilian has led to cancellations or reduced gigs and stages at many events this weekend. #Solfest and #Leeds in particular carried on but many tents blown away and fewer bands performing than expected. #Insurance for #festivals has been a challenge after #covid but many people will be wanting refunds ..so..sadly I suspect this will make some of these impossible to insure and run in the future.

Looking at the torrential rain outside I really feel for all the folk who've got events on this weekend. Lots of #festivals #weddings #VillageShows #FundraisingEvents and the like been cancelled or severely disrupted by #StormLilian - so much effort goes into making these happen. A nearby #wedding planned for today had their marquee blown away but the lovely folk at the local theatre had a rare Saturday free so are relocating everything there.

#StormLilian has rapidly moved away from the UK this morning and is now arriving in Denmark and Norway bringing severe coastal gales here 🌬️

Meanwhile, whilst still breezy back at home, it's a much brighter afternoon for most of us 🌤️
