I had to stay over in Inverness one night this week as the bridge to Skye was closed due to the big storm.

“Storm Bram - named by Met Eireann, Ireland's equivalent of the Met Office - has been developing rapidly on Tuesday, continuing to move northwards to the west of the UK. While rain will still be falling, the strength of the winds will now be the focus.”

It remained fairly calm in the city but as I walked to my hotel the sky was anything but.

We got through the worst winds of #StormBram (which I'm pretty sure I called 'bran' yesterday🤦). No damage, no powercuts.

#StormBram Fortunately the wind was so strong the horde of vampires got blown straight over without landing and may be headed for Russia. Though I was wary when I went to the village shop.

Stranger in front of me at the till said “ it’s not raining so I’ll make a break for it”. It *was* raining. Clearly a vampire. Does rain affect vampires instead of daylight?
