The zine library I started in my city is a year old!
I restocked it with some of my new zines from this year. I've been doing lots of local art / zines in the last couple of weeks so I haven't been sharing here as much.
But making stickers/zines about a new shitty mayor, a proposed AI data centre, a proposed coal mine and organizing distro for world mask week next week!

Join PHAN and Air Support Project for a discussion on being clean-air-aware and COVID-safe while traveling. We'll talk about how people have successfully traveled while being clean-air-aware, specific masks and other tools that folks like to use, and dealing with security and other passengers. Strange situation this afternoon… I had to duck up to West Ashgrove… and I was on a time schedule because I had left it a bit late in the afternoon. I needed to be home by 6PM… and it was already approaching 4…
So walking there was out, and there was a little smokiness in the air. I haven't been riding in a while, so didn't think jumping on the bike was a good idea but it was a tempting prospect. The bus won out.
Donned my mask, wandered up to the bus stop. Sitting there, someone in a van pulls up and the passenger beckons me over. Not quite sure what they were about, I stated I was waiting for a bus.
They were curious about the mask and wondered if it was for COVID-19. I said yes, but also smoke (which was my bigger concern). They then went on a brief rant about there being too much technology, blamed the vaccines for causing it, then stated "I'm with you, brother", before the pair drove off.
Yeah… don't think you are actually. There are reasons for opposing 5G LTE, but COVID-19 is not one of them. Clearly a conspiracy theorist.

My mom asked me today if I've been looking to date. I mean --I'm not closed to it? I've just kind of accepted it'll most likely not happen any time soon. Possibly not ever. Not while living in a tiny town in Spain and being someone that masks. If the dating pool was small before, it's a teardrop now. So I'm just focusing on other stuff. "Like what?" she asked. Literally everything else. My entire life. Being grateful for having a regulated nervous systems right now and a bitter orange tree that fills my room with the smell of its blossoms right now. I'm alright.
I'm the type of person that always found it easy to make a friend. I wouldn't go by a year without making a friend. I moved into this conservative town four years ago and I have yet to make a friend. I've made friends online but I have no real social life in the country I live in. Thankfully I live in the apartment above my family but they don't mask. They neither care to nor believe in the science.most days I can handle it.
Some days it stings. Today I've been off. Let's get some rest and hope tomorrow is better.
