Your Autistic Life FR/EN/ESYesterday, I got on all fours to patch some holes that I think were a highway for bugs.
Today, my hip is reminding me that I'm no longer a spring chicken.
"Why did you not call maintenance?"
I've owned two houses. I knew exactly what to do. Besides, I don't like having strangers in my apartment (maybe because I'm #ActuallyAutistic), and they tend to be incompetent too.
"Incompetent?"
Yes. Like doing stuff against code.
"You know the building code?"
I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of the code, but I do know some things. I'll remind you that I was a homeowner and did remodel.
"Did you find things against code in your houses too?"
Yes, I did, like electrical circuits not properly wired. 
I fixed some of it, and had an electrician fix the rest.
"And you have all the tools you need?"
Yes. Some of my tools came with me in the divorce. Not all of them. I've lost most of my car tools, because there's no garage here.
"Anything else?"
I like to use this knowledge for my romantic partners. Oftentimes, they don't have this specific knowledge, and what I do looks pretty damn amazing to them.
"OMG! Can I date you?"

Chewy A Dupp@Curator I didn't look up what a chicken or an ostrich look like for reference and it took like a minute. I'm pretty sure it would've looked the same if I looked both things up and took my time. This looks amazing, is what I'm saying.

We have a lot of blind and partially sighted users on the fediverse. Accessibility is important here, and as such, it's good form to include image descriptions (alt text) when we add media to our posts. When someone uses a screenreader to read the timeline, and the screenreader comes to an image with no alt text, it just says 'image' (as far as I know). That's boring, unhelpful, and provides no clue as to what the image actually *is*. This differs slightly depending on how you're using (cont)
