Ce soir, je vous emmène dans l’univers de Thomas Azier, né aux Pays-Bas et aujourd’hui installé à Paris, où il poursuit une quête sonore singulière. Sa musique s’ancre dans une pop électronique habitée par une voix ample et expressive, mais s’élargit vers des orchestrations qui empruntent au jazz et aux textures classiques. Chaque morceau devient un espace mouvant, où synthés et instruments acoustiques se fondent pour tracer des paysages infinis, loin du formatage, tendus vers une liberté artistique rare.

Air Supply: The One That You Love (1981). #Cringe #pop? They have many #sappy #album titles ("Making Love"), but my original #vinyl in the picture is a #jewel. Falls perfectly between their early #disco phase and later #softpop years. Excellent #songwriting, #arrangement, and #mixing. Guest #guitarist Rex Goh lifts this into #softrock territory. #Lyrics still stuck in my head after forty+ years!
