I've been so ill that I just haven't felt up to posting anything.

But I did read this article about solarpunk that was pretty good:

What we really need to do is stop Silicon Valley from continuing their harmful cycle of "Move fast and break things" as it is killing us and our planet. And most of Silicon Valley's "solutions" are really only solutions for the billionaire class and not for the majority.

We also need to rise up against the fascist's in power and undo the harmful and deadly policies and laws that target LGBTQIA folks, immigrant folks, Black and brown folks, Disabled folks, and all our most vulnerable folks.

I think about how much we need to do, and I feel overwhelmed. But in therapy today, my therapist reminded me that doing small tasks each day still helps in the fight against fascism. I may be too ill too often to spend hours on the fight, but I can do small tasks here and there that assist.

I can write, edit, create music and art, and those are just as important as the fight itself. We need ways to rest and rejuvenate to restore our energy to keep on fighting, and I can at least do little things like that.

So that maybe someday soon, we'll live in a solarpunk society rather than this fascist techno feudalism we're currently living.

The vision of solarpunk: joining nature with technology in vibrantly inclusive ways to create a world that truly blooms

I walk by a school yard that has a disappointing amount of snack litter blown up into the shrubs and such. It makes me sad.

It's too much for me to pick up, but I can't shift the Marge Simpson grumbles of disapproval at the state of things.

In an inspired moment of clarity today I realized I could pick up one piece every time I walked by. It allows me to feel like I am responding to the need, but not swamped by it.

Did a little work in the garden. Collected dried plant stems for the fire tomorrow. Of course I got scratched by thorns of a rose because I don’t like to wear gardening gloves. The dog took care of breaking the branches for kindling. Happy Ostara! #fromdifferentangles #smallthingsmatter #blessedbe

Fell over on the dog walk this morning. More a loss of dignity than anything else! However two lovely things happened as a consequence. Tallie my greyhound despite me letting go of her lead simply stayed calmly by me and secondly someone stopped to check I was ok. #smallthingsmatter
