Jane Austens 250 year birthday today! Would we be so into regency fiction and fashion if it hadn’t been for Pride and Prejudice?

The photo is from the Jane Austen dance seminar I attended in November this year. The question was; what did Jane Austen dance?
The short answer is; we don’t know, however it might have been:

The Perigordine
The Savage Dance
The Glouchester Waltz
Jackey Tarr
Les Ombres Chinoise
La Boulanger
The Charity Boy
Royal Chase
Les Belles Filles de Norwich
La Jesuit
La Pastorelle
The Family Party
(among others)

The photo is of me by fantastic photographer Tore. The outfit is all made by me.

Skokloster ball, part 2. I wish I had more pictures of the dancing! There was also a queen Charlotte exhibition (I included a picture of me and Lady Danbury - her costume anyway) the costumes on exhibit were the originals on loan from Netflix. And so funny that also the spectators had fancy dress.

Last weekend at Skokloster ball, close to Stockholm. It was a bit intense with two regency events two weekends in a row, but so worth it! The theme was 1805 and Jane Austen would have loved it.
