2024 movie viewings, #58. My recent watch of Richard Pryor’s 1986 autobiographical drama Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling (my review) got me interested in going back and watching the ‘70s comedies he did with Gene Wilder, which is what made me as a Generation X kid first become a fan of his, long before I knew about his career as a stand-up; and I decided to start with the first one I myself ever watched, 1976’s Silver Streak, in which Wilder and Pryor get invited on the inaugural cross-country journey of a brand-new, cutting-edge “supertrain,” and accidentally stumble

I’ve must blown my own mind by discovering Richard Keel (Jaws) essentially played Jaws in Silver Streak BEFORE he was in The Spy Who Loved Me.
