(part one)
I've been observing a wealthy elderly 👵 👴 couple who recently moved into this facility.
I have never met two more miserable people.👫
They can't share a room, not even the same wing of the building, yet at mealtimes 🍽️ they sit at a table together with faces contorted with frustration, discomfort, bitterness, and anger . Shared negativity.
Each spend the day alone except for that brief encounter three times a day.
He yells when speaking, not due to hearing issues but because he has Main Character Syndrome. He is curt, extremely rude to staff.
She verbally abuses staff, though not so often when I am around because after yelling at staff again, this time because there were a few cucumber bits in her salad 😱 and refusing to eat, 🙄 I lost my patience😠 with the drama👸 queen and told her
'We residents have a policy here, we never speak disrespectfully to staff because they bend over backwards to accommodate our needs!".
Her response was😡 " All this fuss over a little yelling?!"
My reply, " Indeed! Because every single resident is ill, in pain, and suffering, yet not one ever spreads their misery around except you! No one in this dining room wants to hear your abusive commentary, thank you"
