Just made the board swap on my F-91W to #sensorwatch. I have gone with the full fletched version with custom LCD and accelerometer.
Swap was done in a few minutes although i needed to disassemble it twice cause the buzzer was not working on first attempt.

It's more expensive then the PineTime and has less "features" - but it has all i need and fits into the iconic case of the F-91W. Love it.

Thanks @joeycastillo for making this possible.

After my failed journey with the #PineTime more than a year ago i finally placed an order for the #sensorwatchpro board including custom display.

I'm not a person that is interested in modern smartwatches from Apple, Google, Samsung and the likes. I'd appreciate a useful feature set shipped in "reduced design". Additionally, i'm a child of the 80s - so the F-91W definitely hits my nostalgia.

After 41 minutes and 57 seconds of uptime, the firmware froze.

While I was unscrewing the case to press the reset button on the board, the display started fading.

That's not too surprising: the original lithium battery was outputting 2.7V (as opposed to 3V).

I'll go buy a new CR2016. The expected battery life for the #SensorWatchPro is 1 year, while the original #Casio board typically lasts 7 years.

Next, I installed the #SensorWatchPro board into the holder and... CrESnt??

Ok, this must be the new moon phase function. I start exploring the new firmware without reading the docs, but it's clear that it's a lot more complex than the original thing. After several minutes, I still haven't figured out how to set the date and time 😅

With the screwdriver that came with my eye glasses repair kit, I disassembled the watch, revealing the original #casio circuit board, one of the seven wonders of 1980's consumer electronics.

My Sensor Watch Pro just arrived!

Time to take apart my Casio wristwatch to install it! ...as soon as I can find my tiny philips screwdriver.

#sensorwatchpro built and installed with the custom led screen. Did not go perfectly, but that's probably on me more than anything. It's now working. Running it stock for a few days, will then make a custom firmware build.
Sensor Watch Pro arrived last week for my Casio F-91W with the custom LCD and accelerometer board. Took about 20 minutes to install, including flashing firmware and unnecessary desoldering of a component from the original board.

Really like it so far, light is still relatively dim, but has the ability to set a custom color and not just green. Seems like the Second Movement firmware might have the ability to change the alarm chime to Zelda, Mario or others which I'll have to explore at some point.

The tap capability with the accelerometer board is really useful too, even if it's only working for the Countdown app currently.

Other people with #crowdsupply #sensorwatch #sensorwatchpro orders - do you have dispatch notifications? I'm seeing some people with arrivals, I have the traditional nada from #crowdsupply so far.

Just getting an idea of if anything is remotely in transit, or to go looking for a package hidden in the garden again.
