BTW: Rod is my father - and Mabel Linder (the author of the cookie recipe) is my Gran.

Thanks to Glen Warren of #SeasonsEatings Podcast for interpreting some of what my Gran's recipe MEANT - and not just what she WROTE in the #recipe...like creaming the butter and sugars. (She just wrote "mix" - and the cookies weren't the same when I just "mixed".)
