Mia AlmWeekend #BD Les Cités obscures no. 3: La fièvre d'Urbicande. This series take place in a version of Europe with it's cities as settings. In Urbicante a architect receives a weird hollow cube artifact. It starts growing both in side length and forming a lattice, growing through things as it exist on a different plane. First people get scared, then when it spans the entire city and stops growing. they come to love it (except for the rulers as it undermines their control).
K is excited about:A part of #1899Netflix (and I won't say what in order not to spoil it) reminded me of the great 1980s #Schuiten/#Peeters graphic novel (#BD) "La Fièvre d'Urbicande", part of #LesCitesObscures sequence -- where a geometric structure made of some unknown material appears out of nowhere and grows not constrained by encounters with other objects, puzzling the authorities and the city's architect.
