Two intense days with nose in the books; almost done with preparing this year's seminar at KASK, entitled 'Vibrant Matter'.

Encountered this passage by Ian Hacking that describes the current state of some of my projects quite well:

Nice end-of-academic-year presentations of the minor ArtScience at KASK: ten very different projects inspired by objects from the collection of the Ghent University Museum. One example is this 'phosphenes diary' by Febe de Kegel.

So today most of the "Liberate the Machines!" book was finally printed and thanks to Isabelle Vigier it looks fantastic ! Just after the summer it should be available through regular channels and a proper launch will follow.

That was a very nice evening in the Kunsthal in Ghent yesterday; an interesting discussion in front of a good audience, between Catherine Willems, Bert de Roo, Giliam Ganzevles and myself around three recently completed bookprojects, expertly moderated by Edith Doove. (there will be a proper launch of my book once it is actually printed and available, after the summer)

One of the personal highlights of today's visit to the Ghent University Museum collections was this mussel in formaldehyde.

Today was a nice day of the first ever intermediate presentations of the new ArtScience minor programme at KASK School of Arts in Ghent that started 2.5 months ago:

A recurrent problem of preparing a seminar is that there are so many things that would be interesting to read...
