Tekenaar Jane Baer is op 91-jarige leeftijd overleden. Volgens Deadline overleed zij maandag in haar slaap in Californië. Zij werkte dertig jaar lang voor Walt Disney Animation Feature en was in die hoedanigheid mede verantwoordelijk voor een groot aantal klassiekers van het tekenfilmconcern.

They appear in one of my stories. But I hadn't heard that story about them.

As we started up the hill, the tsukumogami revelers resumed singing and dancing. Joined by prancing, ever-flowing jugs of sake chased by minute, shabby monks with sake cups for hats. It reminded me of a scene from a movie Ume had made me watch, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” when the hero is in Toontown. An image that was only strengthened when the kodama resumed singing.
