Spent the afternoon at the Rhode Island School of Design Art Museum. Saw lots of wonderful visual eye candy but the view from an upper floor window onto the courtyard was chef’s kiss.

I'd love to see RISD sports mascot Scrotie show up alongside the frogs...
I was at the #RISD Museum yesterday to see the exhibit of #Philippines textiles made from pineapple fibers. But I walked down the hall and found this huge metal lace wall!
They call it needle lace but I'm pretty sure those are bobbin lace sections....?

The #artist Michael Townsend and his #SecretRoom within the #Providence Place Mall near #BrownUniversity
My view, as a "Brown parent", is that the owner of the mall should allocate a free studio space to local #artists, #RISD fine art students, and Brown #music students, thus gaining communal #goodwill, and more importantly, notoriety on the local, national, and perhaps even global, levels. Imagine the societal benefits that would accrue from this simple commercial gesture that incurs almost no costs to the benefactor....

The Peoples Pervert has chuckles, words of wisdom about existence, and encouragement for artists and weirdos. The 15 mins to watch this is worth it.
John Waters' rollicking commencement speech at The Rhode Island School of Design offered up some good one-liners and a few pearls of wisdom, though phrased, quite naturally, in an irreverent way. Ready for some sage advice on what really counts as wealth?
