Apache configuration and ssh tunnels were a distant memory for me .. until today, when I had to get back on the horse and figure that stuff out for my one remaining client.

Two lessons learned: 1. Configuring Apache2 is a thankless job. "Here are two ways to block a specific IP" (And neither of them work.) 2. Using an ssh tunnel to do port forwarding is magic -- it's such a great feature. #SysAdmin #Apache #SSH #RetiredMostly
