🌉 San Francisco Reality 🌉

While looking through wallpaper images for my desktop reset, the mouse cursor happened upon a preview of this image.. not sure about the source/artist, but it's as close to a pre-pandemic representation of my work/home life-cycles while living in SF.

From the shoebox apartment to the heels kicked off and bra spun off.. I used to love going into the office, being all adult and professional, and everything (mostly) involved with a walking commute from a FiDi condo tower (with Bay Bridge and sometimes Golden Gate views) down the Embarcadero to a Soma office and back...

It was a beautiful era, one which had come to a close by 2020, and one which will unlikely return within the next half-decade or more. Having finally moved away, with so many beautiful memories over most of my adult life, hmm... what else can be said? Thank you SF... but please, take care of yourself. It's not too late. 🌁

💖 memories 💖

ok, only partially about memories... so, a new-to-me vintage coffee cup has arrived and I'm quite pleased with its design and quality. first off, I have no idea what Clairol is or was, but the gold on beige profile with motion lines is so 80s that it just had to be acquired.

onto those memories, the coffee cup reminded me of my most recent trip to Costa Rica and ooooh the coffee there is just to die for, seriously heavenly. sitting at a beachfront cafe with desayuno típico and pitch black coffee, listening to the waves breaking on a reef in the distance... sure do miss that.

I also miss wearing this cute blue dress that was found in a little tiny clothing shop near Nicoya. it's not modal cotton but it's just as soft and stretchy. now it's somewhere in storage from the recent move, must be liberated!
