I've hit this strange cadence with my creative energy these days where I'm good for about 15-20 minutes of doing something, then I have to crash back out of the flow. Wait 20-40 min and repeat. As someone who tends to hyper focus once I hit a flow, this is a very, very strange experience.
I've decided to take it as a good thing, evidence that I'm moving forward with things that are important to me while still being attentive to what energy I actually have available.

It's masterful. It's tight. It's ambiguous and frightening. It's a *perfect* novel: a flawless example of plot, pacing, characterization, and ambiguity by a WOMAN- which results in a very specific kind of anxiety and dread- unlike any other book at the time.
