Today held it all: a senator admitting the fire only after it took his house, an ocean running a 1.37°C fever, a pulpit spitting poison at the gentlest among us — and two hundred neighbors in a road anyway. A man sat in a podcast chair this week, lit like a televangelist, and told his audience that your second-grade teacher turned little boys gay. No evidence. There is none. Just the oldest trick the pulpit knows: find a body to punish, dress the cruelty in scripture, call it love. They fear softness because it's the one thing their brittle architecture can't survive. So today we say it plain: a boy who grows up gentle in a world this loud isn't failing at manhood. He's surviving an assault on it.

She calls herself a "bi, poly, switch, fat, femme, dyke witch," she's 65, and she's building the safety net the government tore down. In Portland, Stella Maris runs Queer Magic and assembles welcome bags for trans newcomers fleeing hostile states — knitted hats, transit cards, city maps, small gifts from local queer artists. "We're meeting our own community's spiritual needs from a mutual aid ethos," she says: everyone with something to give, and something to receive. The whole network started with exactly one welcome bag.
