While "Where Owls know my Name" is probably the best album by Rivers of Nihil, I am also very fond of Monarchy, which is a bit more on the energetic #TechDeath side, but still has an amazing atmosphere and a very cohesive feel to it, mixing heavy rhythm driven passages with slower introspective ones.

Cool proggier from the very good Where Owls know my Name album. Love me some sax in #DeathMetal / #ProgDeath / #ProgMetal . Also cool solo

One of my alltime favorites by Death: The Philosopher

Kinda the definitive #TechDeath track from my favourite album. Played this up and down during my early twenties, and it had a huge influence on ne musically.

Spawn of Possession - Apparition
One of the best #TechDeath songs of all times IMO. First riff especially is iconic. Great #neoclassical symphonic parts as well

Some of Scar Symmetry's stuff is really more #ProgDeath than #MeloDeath . Really liking this album

Currently checking out #TheReticent - Please.
Too deathy for me. The theme is mental health, and it has non-music, narrated passages that don't do it for me.
