The #ActuallyAutistic hashtag has really opened my mind to a lot of things. It has enlightened me to so many behaviours and traits that I either share directly, or can relate to in some way. All of these things in my personal life, that I personally considered to be odd, different, strange. And sadly, way more than too often, just a negative vibe that I felt/got to/from my doing certain things. I have come to learn that I really am not alone.
However, this all comes with one huge downside.
I don't #ActuallyAutisticallyQualify. Why not? Because I don't have a paper from a doctor saying so.
So I am appealing to the community.
While I lod the goals of the hashtag and community around it, and certain things really do need to be upheld, the conotation that one must be diagnosed is a huge barrier to entry, and can come off seeming a bit discriminating. But it needs to be like that, you have to qualify something, or else, the slop and trolls... So I get it for sure. So, I propose a solution.
Can we all create a new hashtag, that should operate independent of this one, without a perceived stigma of requiring some sort of qualified determination of a condition? I propose

Uff, gerade alte Congress Badges gefunden...

I'm in love with Loops earplugs. I bought some near the start of the semester to just wear when eating in the cafeteria, and they were great. Now I wear them in grocery stores (when I remember) and I even got to use them at a concert two weeks ago! So I decided to upgrade to the Switch version, since I found myself popping the mute into the Engage model I had pretty often. I didn't particularly like the fully plugged-ear sensation I got with the mutes in though, so I hope the Switch doesn't have that sensation.

Just trying to find a basic long-sleeved stripey top to replace the old one I've got too big for (a lot has happened in eight years), but nothing online looks enough like it, and now my eyes feel funny from looking through pages of inferior stripey tops, argh #ProbablyAutistic

@lukito A girlfriend once asked me, “What gets you out of bed in the morning?” I had no idea she was expecting to hear about my dreams and passions. No, I thought about the question carefully and literally, and in all seriousness replied “Breakfast.” She was not impressed.

But it’s the right answer, and it’s still true many years later. Also, that relationship didn’t last long after that!

#ProbablyAutistic

Someone, and I am sorry I cannot remember who, suggested I try out the #CATQ test for #autism recently.

My total score on that one is 130, which puts me above the average for #autistic people no matter which gender I look at.

I felt that many of those questions could be equally because I am trans as that I am #ProbablyAutistic .

I guess maybe it's be okay for me to claim #ActuallyAutistic now.
