What form (if any) would copyright take in a post-capitalist society?
What form (if any) would copyright take in a post-capitalist society?
So, what happens after we overthrow the Empire? For example, do all dwellings become the personal property of whoever is actually living in them?
What happens to the mansions of the rich, such as Mar-A-Lago and the White House? Break them up into rent-free apartments? Ditto for hotels and other large buildings that don't have other uses?

> Yes, but within that, a Universal Basic Income is still an important attribute of humane economies and, arguably, of all future (AI) economies.
The problem is that income can always be stolen. But if people have the right to food, shelter, power, and communication (including the internet) as basic human rights, that's not something that can be stolen. They're hungry; they go get food from their community. If a thief wants their food, what's the point? The thief can go get food themselves (they're human too), in which case THEY'RE NOT A THIEF!
And if the purported victim somehow has their food taken, they can always go get more. If someone is grossly abusing their right to food, the community can always meet democratically and decide what to do about it. They can always choose to expel the malefactor from their community; they're free to go elsewhere for their needs.
What do you think?
