The International Space Station is planned to be decommissioned by the end of 2030 through a controlled de-orbit.

A dedicated spacecraft will be used to guide the station into the atmosphere, where it will break up and its fragments will fall into a remote and uninhabited area of the Pacific Ocean known as #PointNemo.
