Just finished Rick Veitch's "Swamp Thing: Volume One." collecting his first few comic book issues.
What a great read and so pretty to look at.
Not to be there in real life, I've experienced the swamp humidity and dangers and smells and bugs. Okay to visit, or live there if you've grown up with it. But you'd have to seriously adapt if you move there.
Back in the day, it was impossible to keep up with this run because it would sell out fast.
Weird thought I had the other day. Earth is spinning, moon is spinning, other planets are spinning. Speed of light is constant. So how does the "speed force" in "The Flash" comicbooks and TV show work?
Light's a constant, so that if light is the "solid" like a type of pudding and everything is moving in and out of a light state, even when we turn the light switches on and off?*
*no drugs were taken before this rambling non-scientific line of thought.
One of the unifying themes on "Crisis on Infinite Earths" in the amazingly fantastic 1980s comic books by Marv Wolfman and George Perez was "red skies".
Not thinking about that for any green/purple reason at all...
