My partner and I had some vacation days left to use before the end of the year. So we made the most of the situation by having gone to Zwolle for a day trip last week.

Things were lovely during the day already, but we discovered that the city really came to live in the evening, when all the Christmas lights and decorations around the Grote Kerk (Big Church) were turned on.

Hereby some of the photos that I made this particular evening, more to come at a later moment.

Na demonstraties op het Malieveld trekken bezoekers vaak naar het centrum van Den Haag voor een drankje. Zaterdagmiddag liep dat totaal anders. De schrik zit er nog goed in bij horecaondernemers en hun personeel. 'Mannen in het zwart gooiden spullen naar me. Ik was doodsbang, terwijl klanten me probeerden te beschermen tegen de agressievelingen', vertelt serveerster Sara Grillo.
