I used to have "Ein Igel" as a pet, when I lived in Germany.
These don't exist in Canada, but they are like a pet Gerbil with quills. When tame, you can pick them up, play with them, pat them.. don't do that in the wild. They JUMP, when frightened and quills will get you.
Also, they stink like a Guinea Pig!
I was in Bodo, Norway when I saw this Wild one. First wild one ever.
