JER has a video in which they say only American audiences are concerned with what "wave" of #ska we're in, and that the concept of "waves" was made by American record labels.

They go on to indicate that no other country really cares about "waves." To them, ska is just ska, without the need for further taxonomy.

Do you agree with them, or do you think "waves" are a real thing?
