For this project, I tend to start each drawing by building a little diorama using whatever random stuff I have in my studio. Then, once I've blocked out the scene to my liking, I shoot photo references to find the best angle for my page layout.

Combined with the vector object stuff I'm doing, the final results have this miniature model/dollhouse vibe to them. It's not what I set out to do, but I'm liking it; and I think it works with the story.
