Still haven’t found my phone charger cable. I cannot tell you how frustrating this is.
Some of you will understand how this is going to live in my head rent-free until I find the bloody damn thing.
Some of you will recall I needed to reach out to tech support (name of company withheld because I have no time for that conversation).
Three days later they reply to my email saying that they can’t help.
I spent a chunk of yesterday afternoon redoing the thing so the client is pleased and I’m shaking my head.
Either they outsource their support to a company that manages multiple clients or they’re incompetent.
One question to ask before you sign up for a service is how they manage customer support. One very pointed question.
Remember when we could actually expect prompt, competent customer support for a service we pay for? Good times.
Anyway, I’m only somewhat grumpy and I still have one carrot muffin left.
And I may be snarfing down a decadent mixture of coffee/hot chocolate/cocoa with coconut milk as we speak.
So two days ago I contacted a tech support team for something that could, theoretically, be resolved quickly.
Two days ago. I've been contacted by someone twice once the issue finally got passed to tech support from a chat bot and/or the general call centre, asking for information I'd already provided.
I'm going to have to redo the thing, because it's Sunday evening and it still hasn't been resolved.
There's been no communication today. At all.
FYI this is not a telecom. But based on previous experience with another company, it would appear they've contracted out their tech support and have more calls than staff can manage.
Which is a them problem, except it's landing on me.
Current hot take: Dealing with software companies is like herpes. I will not be taking questions at this time.
