Related to the great Delia Derbyshire (although she was A LOT more than DOCTOR WHO) is this fascinating clip of Peter Howell demonstrating how he put together the 1980s version of the WHO theme. These days, we are incredibly spoiled by VST plug-ins and the quantification that fixes our mistakes. But forty years ago, these synth pioneers had to do some heavy lifting to get these sounds.
